Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of types categorized into a single-person residential planar form on the hallway, which is a transition space, to humans through the EEG and POE, and then propose a better transition space. After reviewing transition space, housing, EEG, and POE, four types of hallway VR space will be Builded. We will conduct EEG measurement and POE survey for each type through the established VR space. Emotiv pro derives the Sensibility to EEG and Google provides machine learning to derive the sensitivity to POE survey. To this end, this study proceeded as follows. First, in the introduction, the background and purpose of the study and the method and scope of the study are described and explained. Second, through theoretical considerations, the concept of definition, characteristics, and classification of transition space, housing, brain waves, and POE, and the necessity in the research process are examined. Third, classify four plane types and build four representative types VR through 40 plane and plane type classifications collected through case studies. Fourth, after conducting EEG measurement and POE survey for each type through the established VR space, human emotions for each type are derived and evaluated. This study derives the following results by evaluating the transitional space through the emotional sentiment using psychological and physiological evaluation. Through experiments, the following results were obtained. For the four corridor types, stress resulted in 47.1% highest one side corridor type and 30.4% lowest part of hall type. Relaxation resulted in 29.8% highest one side corridor type and 20.5% lowest part of hall type. The Sensibility estimation for POE showed the most positive result with the size of one side corridor type (58.4%) and the most negative result with staircase type (–1.3%).
