dc.description.abstract | In the last decade, small libraries have achieved quantative growth in the aspect of instituitional supply. However, this is the limit of prioritizing supply itself, which has emerged as the present without responding to the problem of the reduction in the quality of library services and operations in small libraries. The problem with small libraries from an architectural point of view is that relatively small spaces are difficult to perform. Architectural planning standards for small libraries are absent, and facilities that are legally regulated are not specific to the area and provide only "minimum" standards. Thus, through prior research and literature surveys, the minimum/optimal criteria can be selected according to the central role through the library's estimation of the required area by area for the number of users. Second, it proposed an estimation equation that would yield a floor area for each spatial component comprising each area. This is because it is important for a small library to selectively operate a single central role and organize it into a space plan suitable for the central role. In this study, the criteria for calculating the proper area of small libraries were set, and it was found that 71.45㎡ for small libraries centered on library loans, 107.55㎡ for small libraries centered on reading and personal study, and 77.2㎡ for small libraries centered on program activities. In addition, it is expected that the roles overlapped on the basis of minimum/optimal criteria can be efficiently utilized in planning small libraries in that it is possible to select the minimum and optimal criteria by referring to the calculation criteria expression. | en_US |
