건축 기획단계 효율적인 의사결정을 위한 공공데이터 시각화 프로세스

Abstract

다양한 공공데이터가 생산 및 공개되어 여러 분야에서 데이터를 활용하는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 하지만 공개된 데이터는 데이터의 크기가 크고 항목이 복잡하여 직관적으로 의미를 파악하고 활용하기 어렵다. 데이터 시각화 기술은 데이터를 시각적인 형태로 표현하여 데이터에 대한 전문적인 지식이 없는 상황에서도 데이터를 활용할 수 있게 하여 다양한 분야에서 주목을 받고 있다. 건축 기획단계에서는 건축가, 건축주, 이용자, 지역사회 등 다양한 의사결정 주체들이 참여하여 전체 프로젝트의 성격을 규정하기 때문에 프로젝트 전반에 걸쳐 가장 큰 영향력을 발휘한다고 할 수 있다. 현재 기획단계 의사결정과정에서 근거로 활용할 수 있는 다양한 공공데이터들이 개방되어 있지만 활용은 타 분야에 비해 저조한 편이다. 본 논문에서는 기획업무에서 정량적인 데이터를 활용하는 방법 중 하나로 데이터 시각화 도구를 사용하여 데이터를 시각화하는 프로세스를 제안하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이론적 고찰과 기획업무 분석을 통해 데이터 활용 목적 설정(업무 범위 선정), 활용 데이터 선정, 데이터 획득, 데이터 시각화 네 단계의 데이터 시각화 프로세스를 제안하였으며 이를 구체적인 시나리오에 적용하여 실제 시각화 결과물을 제시하였다. As a variety of public data become public these days, using data is of particular use to broader range of people. However, it makes normal users hard to understand data that as the data are not only large in their size but also complicated in their contents. Data visualization concept can support users who are not familiar with data in the way that the concept can represent data in visualized form through data visualization process. It is architectural programming stage that architects, clients and users involve in to cope with potential risks and possibilities of a project. In spite of the fact that many types of public data become public and usable these days, using data is being rarely seen in the field. This paper aims to suggest data visualization process in order to propose one way of using quantitative data in terms of architectural programming. The visualization process consists of four steps, Setting a goal of data usage(Setting tasks), Selecting Data, Getting Data and finally Visualizing data. To suggest more detailed contents and its visualization results, this paper conducted a visualization process based on a scenario.
