현대 공예와 디자인의 영역 확장을 위한 사례연구 - 소재와 제조기법의 융복합적 활용 중심으로 -

Abstract

현대의 공예와 디자인은 분야 경계가 복잡하고 유기적이며 다양한 문화적 욕구에 따라 변화하는 성장 잠재력이 높은 산업이다. 유기적인 산업화는 정보, 경험의 공유를 이루게 함으로서 새로운 가치 창출을 이룰 수 있는 영역의 탈경계화를 촉진한다. 현시대의 창작자들은 다양성과 차별성, 동시대의 흐름을 잘 표현하고자 노력하고 있다. 창작물을 제작하는데 있어서 기능성, 조형성 못지않게 강조되는 부분은 다양한 소재와 제조기법의 감각적이고 융복합적인 활용이다. 본 연구는 소재와 제조기법의 융복합적 활용을 통한 현대 공예와 디자인의 표현 영역 사례를 분석하고 두 영역의 지속가능한 확장을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 기존 공예와 디자인의 성질에서 나타나지 않은 하이브리드적 특성을 띄게 되었으며, 공예와 디자인에서 소재와 제조기법의 융복합적 활용을 중점적으로 국·내외 사례를 통해서 확인 할 수 있었다. 소재와 제조기법의 융복합적 활용에 대한 이해는 현시대와 미래시대에 산업적, 문화적 가치를 높이고 인간의 근본적 창의성과 생활의 가치관 변화에 큰 기여가 될 것으로 기대된다. Contemporary craft and design sector boundaries are complex and organic and the high growth potential industries that change according to different cultural needs. In organic industrialization, the beyond border of field can create new values through information and experience sharing. The contemporary creators are trying to express diversity, differentiation, contemporary flow. In the production of creative works, the emphasis is on the sensibility and convergence utilizing of materials and manufacturing techniques. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present state and case of expression field of contemporary craft and design through the convergence utilizing of materials and manufacturing techniques and to examine the sustainable expansion and consideration of the two field. This gave rise to hybrid characteristics that were not reflected in the existing craft and design characteristics, and the use of materials and manufacturing techniques in craft and design was mainly confirmed through domestic and international cases. Understanding the convergence of materials and manufacturing techniques are expected to enhance industrial and cultural values in this and future era and contribute greatly to the fundamental creativity and changing values of human life.
