부모의 조건부 관심과 고등학생의 완벽주의와의 관계에서 내현적 자기애의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 부모의 조건부 관심과 고등학생의 완벽주의와의 관계 및이들 사이에서 내현적 자기애가 매개하는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구를 위해 고등학생 357명을 대상으로 자기보고형식의 설문지로 실시하였다. 연구 도구는 부모의 조건부 관심 척도, 다차원적 완벽주의 척도, 내현적 자기애 척도를 사용하였으며, 분석 방법은 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 성별에 따른 부모의 조건부 관심, 내현적 자기애, 완벽주의는 유의한 차이는 없었다. 둘째, 부모의 조건부 관심은 부적응적 완벽주의 및 적응적 완벽주의, 내현적 자기애와 유의한 정적 상관이 있었다. 셋째, 부모의 조건부 관심과 부적응적 완벽주의 관계에서 내현적 자기애는 부분 매개의 역할을 수행하였으며, 부분 매개의 역할은 유의한 것으로 조사되었다. 반면 부모의 조건부 관심과 적응적 완벽주의와의 관계에서 내현적 자기애는 매개하지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 부모의 조건부 관심이 자녀의 부적응적 완벽주의와 내현적 자기애의 원인이 될 수 있다는 점을 경험적으로 확인함으로써 조건부 관심 양육의 예방 및 개선을 위한 교육 프로그램 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점에 의의가 있다.The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of covert narcissism in the relation between parental conditional regard and perfectionism of high school student. For this purpose, 357 high school students participated in the study and completed Scales for Parental Conditional Regard, Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale(MPS), and Covert Narcissism Scale(CNS). The method of statistical analysis about these materials was composed of correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, there was no difference between male and female students in parental conditional regard, covert narcissism and perfectionism. Second, correlation analysis showed that parental conditional regard had positive correlations with covert narcissism, adaptive perfectionism and maladaptive perfectionism. Third, covert narcissism affected as partial mediating variable in the relation between parental conditional regard and maladaptive perfectionism, whereas there was no mediating effect of covert narcissism in the relation between parental conditional regard and adaptive perfectionism. It is empirically determined that parental conditional regard may be the cause of their children's maladaptive perfectionism and covert narcissism, thus it is meaningful that it can help develop parenting programs aimed at preventing and improving parental conditional regard.
