BIM 기술 융·복합 수준 분석을 위한 특허 정보 활용 방안

Abstract

최근 건설 분야의 BIM 도입에 따라 BIM 기술의 발전 그리고 특허 정보는 지속적으로 증가하고 있으나 종합적이고 객관적 자료에 근거한 국내외 BIM 기술의 동향을 파악하는 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한·중·일·미의 BIM 관련 특허 정보를 활용하여 기술 수준을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 윕스온(WIPSON)에서 제공하는 BIM 관련 특허 정보를 출원 대상별로 수집한 결과 한국 73건, 중국 206건, 일본 31건, 미국 59등 총 369건인 것으로 나타났다. 이는 BIM의 국내외 기술 동향의 목적을 관찰할 수 있다. 연도별 기술 진입 분석을 실시한 결과, 물리학(G 섹션)에서 시작하여, 전기(H섹션), 처리 조작(B섹션), 그리고 고정 구조물(E섹션)까지 점차적으로 기술이 확대되고 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 한·중·일·미 BIM 특허와 관련하여 포트폴리오 분석 결과 발전기 단계에 위치하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이를 통해 국가별 BIM 기술 수준을 객관적으로 파악할 수 있다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 향후 특허 개발 시 방향 설정과 차별화 전략 등을 기본 자료 및 참고 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. Recently, patent information related to building information modeling (BIM) has been increasing owing to BIM adoption within the construction sector. However, only a few research studies have focused on identifying trends in the domestic and foreign BIM technology based on comprehensive and objective data. Therefore, this study aims to analyze technical competitiveness in the global BIM market using patent information. The patent information is compiled from WIPSON and consists of 73 South Korea, 59 USA, 206 China, and 31 Japan applications. Based on patent information, this study objectively observes domestic and foreign technological BIM trends. As a result of the technology entry analysis by the year, starting from physics (G section) to electricity (H section), the performing operations (B section), and the fixed structure (E section) has been expanded gradually. According to the portfolio analysis, the BIM patent is currently in its early stage of development. Through this research, utilizing patents as a basis for future development will be expected to consult with the differentiation of strategy and setting of direction.
