The function of hospital is very complex. The needs for change of the facility are exceedingly considered necessary because of the development of medical science and medical engineering, the enhancing medical requirements, and hospital environments.
The hospital built in the 1970's-1980's have gone through many different extensions and renovations. However, there had been no prior projection of the future extensions. Moreover, unreasonable processes of an interdepartmental well-designed location and spatial availability have been recurred.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the change of spatial configuration in the hospital which was renovated, and to illustrate an interrelation of public circulation and spatial function using quantitative space syntax method.
