Of Electrical Engineering The Graduate School Hanyang University This paper proposes the optimal design to get a minimize cogging torque including the stator and rotator design of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for 4 Wheel Drive system in vehicle. It is difficult and inaccurate to design optimal shape of stator and rotor by analytic method because methods of reduction cogging torque include falling performance. Because the structures of stator and rotor have a decisive effect on cogging torque. Therefore this paper proposes the stator and rotor designed by DOE(Design Of Experiment) and FEM(Finite Element Method) for optimistic design. Finally, by using this analysis technique and response surface method, proposed model that reducing cogging torque was gained.-
