불안정 성인애착과 대인관계문제의 관계: 자기결정적 고독동기로 조절된 정신화의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구에서는 불안정 성인애착과 대인관계문제의 관계에서 정신화의 매개효과와 자기결정적 고독동기의 조절된 매개효과를 가정하고, 이를 확인해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 26세에서 만 39세 사이의 성인 남녀를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 이 중 411명의 자료가 최종 분석에 사용되었다. 연구를 위해 사용된 척도는 친밀한 관계 척도(ECR-R), 한국판 정신화 척도(K-Ments), 대인관계문제 척도(KIIP-CS), 자기결정적 고독동기 척도(SDS)가 사용되었다. 설문 결과를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 21.0 프로그램 및 SPSS Macro Process 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석, 모델 1 분석, 모델 7 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 불안정 애착이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향에서 정신화의 매개효과가 확인되었다. 둘째, 애착회피와 정신화의 관계에서 자기결정적 고독동기의 조절효과를 확인하였으나 애착불안과 정신화의 관계 및 정신화와 대인관계문제의 관계에서 자기결정적 고독동기의 조절효과는 확인되지 않았다. 셋째, 애착회피가 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향에서 정신화의 매개효과가 자기결정적 고독동기 수준에 따라 변화하는 조절된 매개효과가 확인되었다. 본 연구의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일반 성인의 불안정 애착 수준에 따른 대인관계문제에서 정신화의 기제를 검증하여 비임상 수준의 불안정 애착에 따른 대인관계문제에서 정신화가 중재 효과를 보인다는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 불안정한 애착을 형성하여 대인관계문제를 경험하는 내담자들을 대상으로 정신화를 증진하는 개입이 필요함을 시사한다. 둘째, 회피형 내담자의 고독경험에 대한 이해를 확장하였다. 상담 장면에서 회피형 내담자들의 고독 경험을 단순히 부정적으로 볼 것이 아니라 사회적인 불편감으로 유발된 동기인지 자기결정적으로 유발된 동기인지 확인하고 이것이 정신화 손상을 보호하는데 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 탐색할 필요성을 시사한다. 셋째, 자기결정적 고독동기가 애착회피 수준이 높은 성인들의 정신화 손상을 보호하여 대인관계문제를 감소시키는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 결과는 자기결정적 고독동기가 대인관계문제에 간접적 영향을 미치는 것을 검증하여 다양한 문헌에서 언급하였던 고독과 대인관계의 호혜적 관계를 경험적으로 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다.; This study aimed to assess the hypothesized mediation effect of mentalization and moderated mediation effect of self-determined solitude motivation in the relationship between insecure adult attachment and Interpersonal problems. To do so, a questionnaire survey was conducted in men and women aged between 26 and 39, 411 of whom were used for the final analysis. The measures used in this study were Experience in Close Relationship revised(ECR-R), Korean Version of the Mentalization Scale(K-Ments), Short Form of the Korea Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scale(KIIP-CS) and Self-determined Motivation for Solitude Scale(SDS). To analyze the result of the questionnaire survey, statistical analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, model 1 analysis, and model 7 analysis were performed using SPSS 21.0 program and SPSS Macro Process program. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Mediation effect of mentalization was observed in the effect of insecure attachment on the interpersonal problems. 2) Moderated effect of self-determined solitude Motivation was observed in the relationship between attachment avoidance and mentalization but not between attachment anxiety and mentalization or between mentalization and interpersonal problems. 3) In the effect of attachment avoidance on interpersonal problems, moderated mediation effect where mediation effect of mentalization changes depending on the degree of self-determined solitude motivation was observed. This study implies that: 1) Based on the verification of the mechanism of mentalization in interpersonal problems by insecure attachment level of general adults, it was confirmed that mentalization mediates between non-clinical insecure attachment and interpersonal problems. This suggests that intervention to promote mentalization is required for clients who experience interpersonal problems from insecure attachment. 2) The study expanded the understanding of solitude experience of avoidant clients. In the counseling scene, avoidant clients' solitude experience should not be merely viewed negatively, and the study implies the need to determine whether the motivation is triggered by social discomforts or is self-determined and to investigate how this affects the protection of mentalization impairment. 3) Self-determined solitude motivation reduces interpersonal problems by protecting the mentalization impairment of adults with a high level of attachment avoidance. Accordingly, the result demonstrates that self-determined solitude motivation indirectly affects interpersonal problems, which empirically reveals the reciprocal relationship between the solitude and the interpersonal relationship mentioned in the literature.
