dc.description.abstractAn extended 36-membered dodecanuclear manganese metallamacrocycle with S-12 symmetry has been synthesized using the ligand N-cyclohexanoylsalicylhydrazide (H(3)chxshz) by a self-assembly that accommodates a cyclooctane of conformationally strained S-4 symmetry in its hydrophobic cavity.en_US
