역량기반인적자원관리의 적용에 관한 연구:한국기업을 위한 상황론적 접근

Abstract

본 연구는 역량, 역량모형, 역량기반 인적자원관리의 개념과 적용의 틀을 체계화하고 이를 한국기업에 적용하기 위한 상황론적 접근법을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 크게 세 가지 주제로 논의를 진행하였다. 먼저, ‘역량’, ‘역량모형’과 ‘인적자원관리’의 관계를 종합적으로 조망함으로써 ‘역량기반인적자원관리의 분석틀’을 도출하였다. 둘째, 서구 및 일본 기업과 한국 기업의 입장과 추세를 비교하여 역량기반 인적자원관리를 도입한 한국 기업들이 겪고 있는 주요 문제점과 그 원인을 파악하였다. 셋째, 한국 기업들이 상황에 따라 선택할 수 있는 네 가지 접근법을 제시하여 비교하고 인적자원관리에의 적용 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

In this study, we present alternative approaches Korean firms can use when they introduce ‘competency’ into their HR practices. A research framework of competency-based HRM was developed through exploring relationships among competency, competency model, and human resource management. After examining issues and trends in western and Japanese firms that adopted competency-based HR model, this study points out potential problems and major issues of Korean firms when they introduce the competency model into their HR practices. In conclusion, we present four alternative approaches for Korean firms to successfully implement competency-based HR model.
