This paper present a battery charger circuit which uses an input voltage feedforward to maintain the output voltage of a solar cell a constant value. The proposed circuit consists of a general boost converter, an operational amplifier for feedforward, and a voltage reference using p-n junction diode. By experiment, a 3.85V relatively exact regulated output voltage of a solar cell connected the proposed circuit was confirmed. As the output power of the proposed method was 88.43㎽ and that of the conventional one was 33.79㎽, the output power of the proposed way was as high as 161%.
