Abstract
In apparel design industry, it was changed as multi-grades small quantity product system by the short term period popularity, personality, diverse and quality demands of customers. With these consequences, apparel design industry market requests to apply new techniques such as using DTP technique for the easy correction, short labor time, and efficient productivity. For developing the high quality, innovative design, and opening up the apparel design products market, it requires to use norwegian Knit Pattern from now on. Therefore, there are suggested ideas of the new developed norwegian knit patterns as a fresh design resource in this paper, for satisfying requests to actualize the high quality product value in apparel design market. The main research methods of this paper are applying Norwegian knit patterns in SPD_LOOK Program for developing new design. And for presenting new apparel design product, the unique DTP expression was applied on CAD program. The results of research were appeared with some effectiveness as below. First, for the expression of fabric continuance, motives such as snow flake and diagonal line of Norwegian knit pattern and patchwork method were used for women-aged-later-twenty who wants slick and soft silky colors. For apparel of these women-aged- later-twenty, new types of female jacket, blouse, and inner-wear were presented in this paper. Second, appling and connecting possibility between Knit Pattern and DTP technique for making unique and creative apparel design products was demonstrated through these research. Peculiar design resource was presented by adapting norwegian knit patterns and structures on design as well. Attempting and appling to create these kind of new techniques, devices for design are demanded for developing apparel design products. Through these research, utilizing design resource, grafting various design contents, and making differentiation by using DTP were highly expected. In other word, this paper was researched in anticipation of build up a theoretical basis for developing global apparel industry market and further studying in this field.
