북유럽 주얼리 디자인의 자연표현방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

최근 북유럽 디자인은 세계적으로 관심이 고조되면서 다양한 분야에서 각광받는 트렌드의 하나로 자리잡고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 본 연구는 북유럽 디자인의 디자인적 특징을 역사와 사회적 배경, 자연환경으로 고찰하고, 이를 바탕으로 잘 알려지지 않은 북유럽작가 주얼리를 분석하는 장을 마련하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 연구방법으로는 북유럽의 역사와 환경적 사회적 특성을 토대로 북유럽 조형 디자인 영역에서의 특징을 문헌, 관련 저널 및 기사 등을 통해 살펴보았으며, 북유럽 주얼리 대표적인 디자이너인 덴마크의 주얼리 디자이너 알리드라 알릭(Alidra Alic)과 카밀라 프레쉬(Camilla Prasch), 스웨덴 주얼리 디자이너 토비스 아람(Tobias Alm)와 핀란드 주얼리 디자이너 카오 시엔 규(Cao-hsien Kuo)를 선정하여 그들의 작품을 통해 북유럽 주얼리의 감성을 알아보았다. 북유럽 디자인의 사회적 배경과 북유럽 디자인의 자연 환경적 배경을 통해 북유럽 디자인의 개념에 대해 이해하고 자연을 닮은 디자인, 실용적이고 기능적인 디자인, 장인정신을 바탕으로 한 디자인으로 북유럽 디자인의 특징들을 조사하였다. 북유럽 디자인의 개념과 북유럽 디자인의 특징을 분석해본 결과 북유럽의 조형 디자인은 단순함을 강조한 실용적이며 기능적 스타일로 자연친화적 형태와 자연을 현상할 수 있는 형태표현으로 모던하게 표현하는 특징을 보여주는데, 이러한 특성으로 북유럽 디자인은 다음과 같은 의의를 가진다. 첫째, 자연환경을 그대로 보존하고 순응하며, 인간과의 공존을 중요시여김으로써 자연친화적인 감성을 그들의 감각으로 재해석하여 나타낸다. 둘째, 자연스럽고 편안하며 단순한 디자인을 강조하며 복잡한 인위적인 요소를 배제하였다. 마지막으로 언제 어디서든 쉽게 접할 수 있는 모티브로 개성을 표현하되 이질적이지 않고 누구에게나 자연스럽게 흡수될 수 있는 민주적인 성격을 드러낸다. 이러한 내용들을 북유럽 디자인만이 갖는 속성이라 규정지을 수 있으며 이러한 양상은 현재에도 꾸준히 전개되고 있다. 북유럽의 자연을 소재로 작품 활동을 하는 주얼리 디자이너와 그들의 작품을 통해 북유럽 주얼리에 적용된 면에 대해 확인하고자 하였다. Scandinavian design has recently become of significant interest, as it has global appeal in many fields. At this point, the study analyzed the features of Nordic design in terms of its historical and naturalistic background. The aim of this thesis is to introduce comparatively unknown Nordic Jewellers and jewelry work, where the work is based on the features of Nordic design. This essay analyzed the genre, through the relevant literatures, reviews, journals and articles. Five Nordic jewelers were then selected, these being Danish Jewelers, Alidra Alic and Camilla Prash, from Sweden, Jeweler Tobis Alm and from Finland Jeweler Cao-hsien Kuo. The aim of this paper is to identify Nordic sensibility, through these five Nordic jewelers and their work. The study will try to understand Nordic design’s concept, from Nordic social background and Nordic identification with nature. Furthermore, the study will specifically consider aspects of Nordic design, as regards how it interprets nature and manages to incorporate this in terms of practical and functional design and design based on craftsmanship. After analyzing the Nordic design idea and features of Nordic formative design, it has been established that there is an emphasis on practical and functional style, with an emphasis on simplicity, which follows environment-friendly form and expressions of natural shapes and materials. offering aesthetic meaning. Firstly, the genre appears to involve reinterpretation, with a modern, eco-friendly sensibility, which encourages coexistence with humans and preserving the look of the natural environment. Secondly, there is an emphasis on natural, comfortable design, without complicated elements. Finally, the design concept reveals democratic characteristics, which can be regularly encountered and has design features based on humanism in everyday life. In conclusion, it is felt that. Nordic design has a positive significance, through the inference that modern humans can identify with the balance of economic and democratic design, which is based on encouraging eco-friendly sensibility, distinctive simplicity and rational functional functionality. This simple and empathetic Nordic design genre is followed by Nordic jewelers and is evidenced in their work.
