Abstract
This paper deals with the design and analysis of high speed 100,000 rpm blushes DC (BLDC) motor for centrifuge. To determine the specifications, the proposed motor is designed using a loading ratio method based on the rated speed and power. First, the design results of the investigated 3kW 100,000 rpm BLDC motor are compared with the simulation results by a 2-D finite element method (FEM), to confirm the design parameters. Second, the prototype is manufactured for experimental verification. The results demonstrate that the measured back EMF agrees well with the simulated results by FEM.
