TY - JOUR AU - 최청일 DA - 2002/12 PY - 2002 UR - http://db.koreascholar.com/Article?code=8122 UR - https://repository.hanyang.ac.kr/handle/20.500.11754/158165 AB - Flora in the surrounding area along the Dong River Valley from Geoun-ri (Yeongwol-eup) to Gwangha-ri (Jeongseon-gun) was investigated. It revealed that 551 taxa of vascular plants grow in this area, including 7 forms, 69 varieties, 1 subspecies, and 474 species. A total of 73 taxa of rare and endangered plants designated by The Ministry of Environment was also distributed in this area. Among them was 5th grade was 6 taxa, 4th grade 36 taxa, and 3rd grade 31 taxa respectively. Ecologically improtant special plants were also abundant such as the Polygonatum stenophyllum Max.. Thirteen(13) Korean endemic taxa were also investigated too. Two(2) other individual plants of monumental status such as old age and large size was worth nothing. Oak and/or pine tree populations being typical of Korean climactic forests occupied most of the investigated area. Box tree populations being in limestone soil appeared in wide ranges, and these are the biggest box tree habitats in Korea.
