A Tool for Collecting and Classifying Information Spreading over Social Networks

Abstract

소셜 네트워크상의 정보는 공유를 통해 빠르게 확산하는 특징이 있어 단 시간에 수많은 사용자에게 정보를 노출시킬 수 있다. 이러한 점을 이용하여 기업들은 바이럴 마케팅으로 제품을 홍보하기도 하며, 혹자는 거짓 정보 및 비방 글을 퍼트려 정치적으로 여론을 형성하려한다. 본 논문에서는 소셜 네트워크상에서 확산하는 정보, 특히 근거 없는 비방 및 혐오의 글 또는 거짓 뉴스를 수집함과 동시에 분류하는 도구를 개발하고자 한다. 개발한 도구를 사용하여 14,614개의 트위터 아이디를 탐색하였고 4,969개의 비방 글로 의심되는 트위터 메시지를 수집하였다. 실험을 통한 도구의 성능평가에서 메시지의 분류 및 수집 작업이 효율적으로 이루어 졌음을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 메시지의 수집에 대한 비용 절감 효과를 기대한다.; The information on SNS is spreading rapidly through sharing, so users using SNS can be exposed to a lot of news in a short time. Because of this feature of SNS, some companies use viral marketing to sell their products and people are forming public opinion by spreading misinformation. This thesis suggests a tool that collects and classifies abusing information spreading on SNS, especially unfounded slander and aversion or false news. Using the tool we developed, 14,614 Twitter IDs and 4,969 probably-abusing Twitter messages are collected. We evaluated the performance of the tool and found that the tool is very efficient to classify and collect data. Based on the result of the experience, it is expected that this tool is highly effective in reducing the cost for collecting SNS messages.
