Abstract
In order for studio apartments to achieve the consumption and life values of the recent improvements in the income and life patterns, those that value quality of life and satisfaction over quantity, also increasing in the numbers, low birthrate, aging society, and cocoon community which came from the word "silk cocoon" who in Korea means a place where people can recharge their energy living in a insecure society, pursuit instead of going outside likes the comfort of their personal space. The introduction of those like the cocoon community shifted the housing culture of studio apartments as a residence even that community facilities that are usually found in multi family high class apartments are also being brought to the studio apartments. The community facilities is a place to support the residents to enjoy hobbies, culture, and leisure through progressive society interaction and also to uplift the community spirit so that residents can associate with one another which improves the quality of life. This research examined documental informations, brochures, case studies from the internet to understand the concept and the current situation. This study means to set a path to improve the quality of housing space for the continuously increasing small families.
