- Abstract
- Radio-frequency noise suppression by using magnetic composite sheets on a microstrip line was studied in the frequency range from 0.5 to 10 GHz. The microstrip line was composed of Cu conductor line and grounded dielectric substrates, which was designed by IEEC standard (IEC 62333-2). Fe and NiFe nanopowders were fabricated by the conventional electric explosion wire method. Using these nanopowders, the Fe 50 wt.% and NiFe 50 wt.% magnetic composite sheets with epoxy were prepared and then placed on the microstrip line to evaluate the reflection and the transmission characteristics. As a result, the serve power loss caused by the magnetic composite sheets was observed in wide frequency range. The measured power losses of these composite sheets were compared with the calculated and simulated by a three-dimensional finite element method using HFSS commercial program. Both results were in good agreement with each other.
