미술·디자인 관련 진로탐색 자유학기제 프로그램 사례 분석

Abstract

빠르게 발전하는 정보기술과 첨단 과학의 발달로 인해 경제적 성장과 함께 직업세계는 변화하고 있다. 이에 따라 미래의 사회와 직업세계가 요구하는 능력과 역량 함양을 위한 혁신교육이 세계적으로 이루어지고 있다. 우리나라도 이러한 필요성에 의해 2016년 시행을 목적으로 ‘자유학기제 운영 계획’을 발표하였으며, 이를 통해 학생들이 꿈과 끼를 키우고, 미래사회가 요구하는 역량을 키울 수 있는 교육을 이루고자 하였다. 특히 경제의 발달로 인한 삶의 질의 증가와 함께 예술·문화 산업의 미술·디자인과 관련된 직업에 대한 전망이 밝은 가운데, 이와 관련하여 다양하게 탐색할 수 있는 자유학기제 진로교육 프로그램이 필요하다고 생각된다. 본 연구는 이러한 필요성에 의해 미술·디자인 관련 진로에 대해 학생들이 확장된 시각을 가지고, 자신의 꿈과 끼를 탐색하고 성장시킬 수 있도록 하는 자유학기제 창의·진로탐구 프로그램 사례를 분석하는 것에 그 목적을 두었다. 연 구의 이론적 배경으로 자유학기제의 도입배경 및 진로교육의 개념을 탐색하고 그 배경을 알아보았다. 나아가 해외의 진로교육 사례(아일랜드, 영국, 덴마크)를 살펴보고, 이를 분석함으로써 우리나라 자유학기제에 적용 가능한 아이디 어와 시사점을 알아보고자 했다. 본 연구는 미술·디자인 관련 진로에 대한 이론적인 이해와 이에 대한 교육의 필요성을 고찰하고, 추후 프로그램 개발에 도움이 될 수 있는 미술·디자인과 관련된 자유학기제 프로그램의 사례를 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 분석한 프로그램 사례를 통해 미술·디자인관련 진로에 적성과 흥미가 있는 학생들이 관련된 직업세계에 대한 시각을 넓힐 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램이 개발되는 계기가 되어 본인의 꿈과 끼를 찾을 수 있는 의미 있는 자유학기제가 되길 바란다. The rapid advance in IT and state-of-the-art science have fueled economic growth and the shifts of the world of work. It s quite important to help students, who will be the mainstay of future society, to adapt themselves well to future society and the world of work, and innovative education is widespread all over the world to foster every sort of ability and competency that future society and the world of work require. To stay abreast with this change, our country announced an initiative to introduce a free semester system in 2016 to teach students to pursue their dreams, exert their talents and improve their competencies in response to the requirements of future society. The purpose of this study was to develop a free semester creativity/ career exploration program geared toward helping students to broaden their horizon and to find out and improve their own dreams and talents in the field of art and design. The program developed in this study is expected to be a significant free semester career exploration program that provides an opportunity for them to broaden their horizon on the art/design-related world of work, to seek after their own dreams and to discover their own talents.
