스캠퍼(SCAMPER) 기법을 활용한 음악 창작 수업의 교안 개발

Abstract

현대 사회는 온갖 정보와 지식이 융합되어 기술과 산업을 이끄는 지식정보화 시대로 접어들었다. 고도화된 정보기술로 빠르게 변모하는 상황에 더욱 능동적으로 대처하기 위해 각 분야에서 유연하고 창의적인 사고의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 2015년 개정된 교육과정에서는 미래사회가 요구하는 핵심역량을 함양하여 바른 인성을 갖춘 창의융합형 인재를 양성하는 데에 중점을 두고 있다. 음악 교과에서도 다양한 음악 활동을 통하여 음악의 아름다움과 음악성과 창의성을 계발하도록 교육 방향을 제시하고 있다. 그러나 현실적으로 음악 교과는 창작 활동을 비롯한 다양한 활동을 다루기에 다소 어려운 여건에 놓여있다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 스캠퍼(SCAMPER) 기법을 활용하여 음악 창작 수업의 교안을 설계 및 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 교안의 대상은 학생 개인, 연령은 중등교육과정의 학생으로 설정하였고 8차시에 걸쳐 제안한다.

창의적 사고기법 중 하나인 스캠퍼 기법은 7가지의 질문을 통한 다각적 사고를 유도하고 체계적인 발상 과정을 통해 더욱 독창적인 결과물을 이끌어 내도록 도움을 준다. 분야를 막론하고 적용이 가능하기 때문에 음악 창작 수업의 교안을 개발하는 데에 도구로써 활용하였다. 창작 활동에 있어서 재료가 되는 기초 음악 이론을 바탕으로 스캠퍼 기법을 활용해 차시별 제재곡의 멜로디와 리듬을 바꾸는 등 ‘변형’에서 출발하며 8마디 작곡⦁작사하기, 간단한 즉흥연주 등 다양한 활동을 수반한다. 각 차시의 제재곡은 이미 알고 있는 친숙한 곡과 차시별 다루는 음악 이론을 잘 나타낼 수 있는 곡으로 선정하였다. ‘변형’을 통한 창작 활동으로 스캠퍼 기법의 사용을 익숙하게 하고 음악 창작에의 호기심과 흥미를 유발하고자 한다. 뒤이어 스캠퍼 기법을 활용해 노랫말과 리듬, 멜로디를 만들어 자신의 창작곡을 완성하기까지의 활동을 다루고 있다.

본 연구의 결과물을 통해 음악 교과에서 창작 수업의 중요성이 인식되고, 창의적 사고기법을 활용한 음악 창작 수업을 통해 학생들이 음악 수업을 보다 능동적으로 참여함으로써 감상과 가창을 넘어 다양한 경험을 하고 창작에 대한 인식을 긍정적으로 변화하는 데에 도움이 되기를 바란다.; Modern society today has entered the era of information technology where vast variety of information and knowledge are converged and used conjunctively to lead technology and industry. The importance of flexible and creative thinking has never been more emphasized in order to cope with the rapidly changing society. The 2015 revision curriculum for schools by the Ministry of Education focuses on nurturing core competencies required by future societies and guiding students to become creative talents with good personality. The guideline for music education also encourages to explore the beauty of music and develop musicality with creativity through various music activities. However, in real class situations, it may be said that the current music curriculum is somewhat insufficient to provide variety of musical activities including music creation. Therefore, this study has been made for the purpose of designing and developing a music creation course using SCAMPER technique. The target of the suggested teaching course was set as students in secondary education curriculum.

The Scamper technique, a method invented for creative thinking, is intended to induce multi-lateral thinking through seven questions and helps to bring out each individual’s original results through a systematic idea developing process. As this technique is rather conceptual and thus can be applied to various fields, this study attempts to use it as a tool to develop music creation course. Using fundamental music theory as the basis, the course starts with "transformation" stage in which students experiment changing melody and rhythm of a song through the steps of SCAMPER, eventually leading to activities such as the composing and writing lyrics for eight bars and simple improvisation. The example song in each step was selected on the basis of either: a well-known folk song, or a song that best describes the theory mentioned in each class. The study is intended to make students familiarize using SCAMPER technique through ‘transformation’ and to induce curiosity and interest in music creation. The course ends with finishing an original tune with student’s own lyrics, rhythm and melody made through SCAMPER technique.

It is hoped that through the results of this study, the importance of music creation is recognized so that students can be exposed to more various musical experiences beyond simple singing and listening, through the music creation course utilizing creative thinking methods, finally making them to grow positive perceptions towards creative activities. Furthermore, it is my hope that many creative music-teaching plans are continuously researched and developed to improve students’ musicality and creativity.
