Abstract
In order to do the research on multibody, we need to study the dynamic characteristics of hydrodynamic journal bearing. The mostly used method for calculate the dynamic characteristics include finite element method and perturbation method. Although perturbation method can get the accurate result, but it need the parameters are small enough, otherwise, the error cannot be controlled. The application of finite element method for hydrodynamic journal bearing with boundary conditions can obtain more detail number of parameters and find the relationship between these variables, when using to model analysis, it can give us a clearly analysis result in a relative short period of time. This paper give a way to calculate the dynamic characteristics of hydrodynamic journal bearing and combined MATLAB as bearing solver with DAFUL software as dynamic solver to do co-simulation process and verify the result.
