Abstract
This study aims to suggest the desirable directions for both contemporary dance choreography and the development of contemporary dance education based on the education policy stance of “cultural prosperity” in Korea. Key concept of a “cultural prosperity” is derived from the three core concepts of “branding of arts and culture”, “globalization of culture”, and “cultural enjoyment in everyday life”. Based on the concepts, this study explains the ways of improving the contemporary dance choreography and its curriculums in arts, humanities, and multiculturalism and suggests the importance of the contemporary dance education in Korea.
