1940년대 후반기 한국과 일본의 영화 제작 경향 비교 연구: ‘시대’를 반영한 주요 극영화를 중심으로

Abstract

1940년대 후반기 한국과 일본에서는 이전 시기에 비해 다수의 영화가 만들어졌으며, 시간이 갈수록 그 제작 편수도 늘어 갔다. 이러한 추세 속에 양국에서는 다양한 내용과 장르의 극영화가 선보여졌다. 특히 ‘시대’를 반영하는 여러 유형의 작품들이 주류를 이루었다. 그리고 이들 극영화의 제작 경향은 다음과 같은 특징을 지니고 있었다. 첫째, 실존 및 가상 인물을 통해 과거를 소환하여, 항일․독립/반전․자유 활동을 역사화하였다. 둘째, 귀환자, 젊은이, 아이들의 자화상과 표상을 드러냄으로써, 현실 상황과 사회 재건의 양상을 재현하였다. 셋째, 분단화와 피점령이라는 시대적 배경 하 작품 속에 (탈)정치적인 요소를 내재시켰다. 물론, 양국의 역사적 자취 및 시대적 상황, 문화적 기반과 영화 환경 등에 따라 세부적인 면에서는 차이가 드러나기도 하였다. 이러한 해방기 한국과 피점령기 일본의 영화 제작 경향은 1950년대 이후 영화 제작의 흐름으로도 이어졌다. 그러면서 향후 한국영화와 일본영화의 정체성 형성 및 전통 구축에 토대를 제공하게 된다. I researched the film making tendency in Korea and Japan in the second half of 1940’s, focusing on the feature film which reflected the times. Follow is the result of this study. More movies were produced in the second half of 1940’s than in the period of the Pacific War in Korea and Japan. And, feature films which have various contents and themes were produced in Korea and Japan in the that times. A lot of works which deal with the historic past and reflect the same age were made simultaneously. It was political and social, which popular commerce was often added to. These feature films described historical existence person or virtual person, and they showed a self-portrait and representation of a repatriate, young people and children. On the other hand, it is different that peculiarities of these works between in Korea and Japan as the difference in the number of movies and cinema industry scales of Korea and Japan. The film making tendency in Korea and Japan in the second half of 1940’s followed after 1950’s flow of film making. Of course, there was some difference in the degrees between two countries. But, it was offered to each foundation of identity and traditional building of Korean cinema and Japanese cinema
