Abstract
We synthesis the Regioregular Polymer Containing 5-Fluorobenzo[c][1,2,5]thiada-izole (FBT) and 4H-Cyclopenta [1,2-b:5,4-b`]dithophene (CDT) with short alkylation group ( hexane - butane - propane ). At first, synthesized the monomer via Heeger's strategy (scheme 2), where is dependent on the synthesis asymmetric monomer with two addition of (FBT) or one addition, but in our work we use direct Arylation reaction to synthesis the monomer CDFBT and FBTCDFBT. Due to, the stability of the organometallic compound is low. The polymer of CDFBT was synthesized by Direct Arylation Polymerization (DAP). The polymer h-CDFBT was dissolved in organic solvent. That resulting for existence the flour atom in benzene ring, but after synthesis the polymer b-CDFBT wasn't dissolved in and organic solvent with low yield. Due to, their solubility is low resulting to the short alkylation (butane), it hard to make hydrogen bound. We solved this problem by Eutectic Melting polymerization with benzoic acid. Whereas, the reaction started at solid state at 180°C, the Eutectic melting polymerization was succeed with high yield. It succeed with polymer p-CDFBT. After Eutectic Melting Polymerization, we did Eutectic Melting to polymer p-CDFBT with benzoic acid to study their optical properties via Polarized Optical Microscopy (POM). We found the RR P (p-CDFBT) has optically anisotropic, it have a high cross polarization. That mean their mobility is high.
