대만의 언어 정책과 국어교육 현황

Abstract

본문은 네 단락으로 나누어 대만의 언어 정책과 국어교육 현황에 대해 소개하고 있다. 첫 번째 머리말에서는 대만 언어 정책과 국어교육의 특수성과 그 원인을 소개하였고, 두 번째 단락은 1945년부터 현재까지 모두 4개 단계로 나누어 언어 정책의 추이와 각 단계별 초점을 소개하였다. 가장 두드러진 특징은 기본적으로 국어(mandarin)의 독존적 지위를 파기하고 다족군의 다언어 사용을 원칙으로 하고 있다는 점이다. 세 번째 단락은 국어교육의 현황으로 이 부분은 초중등학교를 포함하는 9년일관(초등학교1학년-중학교3학년)과정과 고등학교로 나누어 고찰했다. 9년일관 과정의 본국어문교육은 이전의 지나친 암기위주, 생활경험과의 이탈, 점수위주의 평가방식 등에 대한 반성과 비판을 통해 학생들의 부담을 덜고 인성의 전면적인 발전과 시대, 사회에 적응할 수 있는 내용을 위주로 하는 교과과정이다. 고등학교 국문교육은 기본적으로 초중등학교의 교과과정을 통괄하는 원칙인 9년 일관과정과 대학의 교양교육과의 원활한 연계를 목적으로 채택한 95과정에 기초한 것인데, 어문교육이 바로 인문교육이라는 이념에 의거하여 국문기본능력외 사회와 접촉하며 일상생활에 운용할 수 있는 능력의 배양을 그 목표로 하고 있다. 마지막 단락에서는 대만의 언어 정책의 연혁과 현황, 그리고 초중등학교와 고등학교로 나누어 살펴 본 대만의 국어교육 현황에 기초하여 쟁점이 되고 있는 사항을 정리하고 현재 진행중인 교육개혁안에 대해 소개하였다.The main body is divided into four paragraphs to introduce Taiwan`s language policy and national language education status. In the first part of the introduction, the historical background of Taiwan since the modern timesand the composition of Taiwanese society are introduced to aid in understanding. Second paragraph deals with the introduction of language policy which divides it into 4 stages from 1945 upto today, and the progress of language policy and the focus per-stage are introduced. The third paragraph deals with the status of national language education and is divided into the 9-year program including elementary/middle schools (1st grade in elementary school 3rdgrade in middle school) and the high school program. In the final paragraphs, based on the timeline and current status of the language policy of Taiwan, and the status of national language education of Taiwan as examined in elementary/middle school and high school, the controversial issues are organized to introduce the educational reform bill currently in progress.
