dc.description.abstractWe examine the performance of the electroabsorption (EA) mixer at high optical power. It is shown that the EA mixer can theoretically achieve an external conversion loss of ~0 dB for waveguides that can handle very high optical power. The analysis is consistent with data deduced from prior experiments.en_US
