FTA 체결효과가 한국수출에 미치는 영향연구

Abstract

본 연구는 패널모형을 이용하여 한국의 FTA발효로 인한 효과 추정을 통하여 한국 수출에 주는 영향을 분석하고자한다. 총71개 한국의 교역상대국을 중심으로 연도별 자료를 이용하여 FTA 발효국과 FTA미발효국(협상 및 준비국)으로 나누어 이중차이(DID)추정법을 통하여 FTA효과를 추정한다. 또한 상대교역국의 연도별 수출단가 대비 수입단가로 나타낸 교역조건지수(Terms of Trade Index)변수를 이용하여 교역국의 교역조건변화가 한국의 수출에 주는 영향을 살펴본다. 패널 변수는 시계열 자료의 특성이 포함되어 있으므로 패널 변수의 패널 단위근 검정과 패널 공적분 검정을 통해 변수의 안정성(Stationary)을 검증한다. 오차수정모형 분석 결과를 통해 장기 균형 모형설정의 오류에 대한 가능성을 줄일 수 있음을 보여준다. 하우스만(Hausman)검정 결과, 확률효과(Random Effect) 모형보다 고정효과(Fixed Effect)모형의 추정 계수가 적절함을 알 수 있다. 실증분석 결과, 첫째, 한국의 수출량은 상대 교역국의 경제규모를 나타내는 실질GDP에 비례하고 둘째, 상대교역국의 수출단가 대비 수입단가가 낮을수록 한국의 수출은 증가하며 셋째, 이중차이 추정결과 FTA발효국이 미발효국에 비해 FTA발효효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났으며 이에 FTA체결로 인한 한국의 수출증진효과가 있음을 시사한다.This paper tries to show the FTA effects on the Korea`s exports through a panel model and DID(Different in Different) estimator. The panel model is estimated as the annual panel data covering 71 countries for the period between 1995 and 2012. We conduct the panel unit root test and panel cointegration test for stationary. According to the results of the analysis, firstly, the result shows the GDP of panel group is positive impact on the Korea`s exports. Secondly, we add Terms of Trade Index variable which has a negatively significant effects on the Korea`s exports. Lastly, as a result of the DID estimator, there is promotion effect on the exports of Korea when we compare the conclusion of the FTA to the preparing the FTA signed with Korea. Therefore, it reflects the FTA effects positive significant on the Korea`s exports.
