With the recent rising income level and the spread of 5-day working week, parents' interest in their children has increased. Thus, the play environment of kid cafes where parents and their children can enjoy together on weekends is being considered to be important. In order to create the kid cafe environment that is suitable and desirable for children's development, it is desirable to plan space by reflecting the using behavior of the children who are the main users of the space. This study aims to analyze the behavior seen from the children's developmental aspect and provide the basic data for a better play environment by analyzing children's play behavior occurring in each space. The methods of this study are as follows. First, the concept of the kid cafe and the importance of play will be considered and children's developmental characteristics will be identified, and second, the spatial characteristics and behavior according to the children's behavioral development will be considered to conduct the case analysis of the space by facility. Third, the design criteria for the kid cafes suitable for children's behavior will be suggested based on the theory and case analysis. As a result of this study, it can be seen that kid cafes do not reflect the behavioral characteristics evenly according to children's developmental characteristics, and the plans that reflect children's behavioral characteristics practically and actively when designing kid cafes in the future.
