개화기 신문과 잡지 자료의 국어사적 현황과 분류

Abstract

개화기 신문은 159종이다. 19세기 신문 자료 중에 국문이 반영된 신문은 13종이다. 00연대 신문 자료 중에 국문이 반영된 신문은 21종이며, 10연대 신문 중에 국문이 반영된 신문은 20종이고, 20연대 신문 중에 국문이 반영된 신문은 11종이다. 연대별 종수만 보면 정규분포를 이루는 듯하지만, 실제 국내 신문의 발간 사정은 연대별로 종수가 줄어들었다. 통계상 늘어난 듯한 종수는 해외 발행 신문과 소위 ‘지하신문’이 포함되었기 때문이다. 이러한 사정은 잡지의 연대별 종수와 비교해서 사뭇 흥미로운데 잡지는 연대별로 종수가 늘어났기 때문이다. 잡지는 590종으로 분류되었다. 19세기 잡지 자료 중에 국문이 반영된 잡지는 3종이다. 00연대 잡지 자료 중에 국문이 반영된 잡지는 28종이며, 10연대 잡지 중에 국문이 반영된 잡지는 30종이고, 20연대 잡지 중에 국문이 반영된 잡지는 88종이다. 문체별로 보면 우선 순국문체 신문은 38종이다. 19세기 신문이 8종, 00연대 신문이 17종, 10연대 신문이 11종, 20연대 신문이 2종이다. 국한문체 신문은 27종이다. 문체 미상 자료가 모두 밝혀진다면 아마도 대부분이 국한문체일 것으로 추정된다. 19세기 신문이 5종, 00연대 신문이 4종, 10연대 신문이 9종, 20연대 신문이 9종이다. 다음으로 순국문체 잡지는 44종이다. 19세기 잡지가 1종, 00연대 잡지가 10종, 10연대 잡지가 15종, 20연대 잡지가 18종이다. 끝으로 국한문체 잡지는 106종이다. 19세기 잡지가 2종, 00연대 잡지가 18종, 10연대 잡지가 15종, 20연대 잡지가 70종이다.This paper aims to examine the situation of newspapers and magazines in Modernization Period of Korea(1876~1933). On the basis of their situation, I will classify into small groups. For example, I will classify from periods(19C, 00 era, 10 era, 20 era and so on). Also I will classify from the style of writing(pure-Korean style, sino-Korean style, English style and so on). What is especially important is the style of writing of Newspapers and Magazines in Modernization Period of Korea. This will inaugurate a new era of historical Korean study in the preliminary data aspect at least. Let’s elaborate on that further. Situation of newspapers and magazines in Modernization Period of Korea is calculated from total 749 species. Newspapers are 159 species, magazines 590 species each. Among these, newpaters of pure-Korean style are 38 species and newpaters of sino-Korean style 27 species each. Also magazines of pure-Korean style are 44 species and magazines of sino-Korean style 106 species each.
