ABSTRACT A Study on the Influence of ERP Introduction on theManagement Performance of the Medium and Small Businesses by Yang-Ho Moon Department of Business Administration The Graduate School of Business Management, Hanyang University Advisor: Professor Yosup Chung, Ph.D. The current keyword in 2017 is the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It has become a crucial time for companies to create and manage their own systems beyond simple systems. That is, we need to be familiar with environmental changes and constant reflection on the current set of tasks and growth targets and All companies are in environment that must be constantly challenging to survive can make a foothold for growth with the industrialized momentum. ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) has long been a major contributor to the business management system to support practical business results. However, in the era, the optimization of ERP after introduction is an essential element of successful system management, rather than simple introduction of ERP depending on the size and environment of the company. In particular, it is difficult for small business introduce ERP in cost, consulting, and maintenance, and it is difficult to optimize completely. Therefore, the strategic direction of tool selection and ERP should be clear. In this study, Through ERP introduction example of D company, based on the recognition of these problems, we analyzed how medium-small businesses with no system had an impact on business performance after introducing optimized ERP system, In particular, we studied the part of D company that was worried and applied for optimized ERP, and compared the conceptual characteristic of universal ERP and the process change process in detail. Since D is a bus rental company, The reason of introduce is the same as general ERP’s. However, ERP based on Google Tools has been devised because it requires tools with maximized scalability. That is, Implementation, realization, and practical extension of the process with the ultimate goal of enterprise resource management, the performance goal of universal ERP, is implemented through Google Tools. This is a result of innovative methodological proposals in cost and maintenance. It is a result of a new challenge to increase the efficiency of system management without the DB server and consulting staff, even if the ERP program of high cost is not used(for the medium-small businesses under 50 employees) D company’s major processes such as dispatching, drivers/ vehicle information, standard cost, driver calculation have been converted from the way of using human resources and documents to system management based on 100% cloud server and Providing independent external interworking services for 30 business partners (providing system management services connected to internal systems or customers) has had a positive impact on re-purchasing and finding new customers. D’s financial performance, sales and operating margin have improved significantly since the introduction of the system, and as the environmental performance has increased the productivity of managerial positions, the proportion of finding new clients has gradually increased. System management performance has enabled real-time monitoring of cost control accounts in accounts receivable management process and driver account process, and the whole process has been linked to smart working through mobile, enabling immediate and reactive cost management. Smart Working has eliminated the communication time and unnecessary documents, thereby eliminating fixed business processes or dramatically reducing time. As a key success factor of D company’s introduction of ERP that brought about such management performance, first, the CEO’s willingness to change of company was strong. Under the management principle that the company should not be operated by the CEO alone, but the management of the company should be managed by the small management of the employees, the company has been leading the introduction of the system that can realize this process quickly and organically. Second, it is a bold investment and decision. Many companies adopting the system do not pay much attention to investing in people and education, so they spend a lot of time setting up their tools, but D’s CEO have devoted a lot of energy to adjusting the time for education and pace so that the system can settle sufficiently. Third, It is a recruitment of talented people. Core key man management is the most important factor in the progress, direction and durability of all projects. We actively promoted the recruitment of people who are able to manage the design, process, expansion, diffusion, and education. In addition, CEO who can make decisions about the progress of the work process are directly control all system. In this study, we propose a directional proposal that solves the problems of cost and efficiency that all small businesses can worry about, without having to stay in the general consideration of expected business performance after introducing ERP system, and at the same time, We also studies the method suggestions for maximizing management performance through the D company’s case This study analyzed the actual management performance and process of the workplace operated by the researcher. Therefore It is meaningful that it can be a good guide for companies that have been used only partly system because they are difficult to introduce due to cost and manpower.
