Abstract
In this study, different size of cores and alumina and silica coated magnetic nanoparticle (MNP) and magnetic-cored dendrimers (MCDs) were synthesized. MNP and MCDs were characterized by SEM, TEM, VSM, XRD, FT-IR and TGA, Magnetic saturation value increased as core size increased and decreased as core was coated with alumina and silica. Leaching experiment was performed with different size of coated and raw MNP to evaluate durability of coated cores. Coated MNP were more stable than raw MNP. 200nm silica coated MNP increased stability as HCl concentration increase. 200nm alumina coated MNP have shown the best stability at 10-4M HCl condition which were related to MCDs regeneration condition. The adsorption of lead were experimented and adsorption capacity of each dendrimer branch was calculated. 10nm size raw MCDs had the highest value (74.48 emu/g). Both silica and alumina coated cores can be attribute to more stable recovery in acidic condition and used as reusable adsorbent in environmental area.
