Abstract
This paper proposes model based current sensor and position sensor fault detection and isolation algorithm for driving motor of In-wheel independent drive electric vehicle. From low level perspective, fault diagnosis conducted and analysed to enhance robustness and stability. Composing state equation of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), current sensor fault diagnosed with parity equation and position sensor fault diagnosed with sliding mode observer. Validation and usefulness of algorithm confirmed based on IPMSM fault occurrence simulation data.
