대학생의 정신건강 사정도구로서의 만다라에 관한 연구

Abstract

The study aims to figure out the usefulness of mandala as an assessment tool for college students’ mental health traits by analyzing relationships of response characteristics between college students’ mental health traits and mandala. In order to fulfill the purpose, literary research and case studies were conducted to prepare an analysis standard composed of space and formative, content symbolism and color indices, and college students were tested through the use of mandala and Symptom Checklist-90-Revision: SCL-90-R. For the purpose of data analysis, independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted, and Scheff"e test was implemented as a post test on one-way ANOVA. As a result of the study, it was found out that space and formative indices based on spatial emphasis, the spatial use extents, mainly used lines and circular shaped mandala and color indices based on the number of materials, themes, abstract composite indicator, the first color, the central color, complementary color and the number of used colors had partially significant differences in all analysis standards from the perspectives of mental health symptoms. The research result suggested that mandala is useful as an assessment tool for college students’ mental health traits, provided quantified and normalized data related to interpretation of mandala and expanded diagnostic areas of mandala. 본 연구는 대학생의 정신건강과 만다라의 반응특성 관계를 분석함으로써, 대학생의 정신건강사정도구로서 만다라의 유용성을 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이상의 연구목적에 따라 문헌고찰 및 사례분석을 통해 공간 및 형태, 내용, 색채지표로 구성된 분석기준을 마련하였고, 대학생을 대상으로 만다라, 정신건강 척도(Symptom Checklist-90-Revision: SCL-90-R)를 사용해 검사를 실시하였다. 자료분석을 위해 독립표본 t-검증(independent samples t-test)과 일원변량분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하였고, 일원분산분석에 대한 사후검증으로 Scheff"e test를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 공간강조, 공간사용범위, 주로 사용한 선, 일원상의 만다라를 준거로 한 공간 및 형태지표와 소재 수, 주제, 구상ž추상ž복합의 내용지표, 처음 사용한 색, 중심부 색, 보색 사용여부, 사용된 색상 수를 준거로 한 색채지표의 모든 분석기준이 정신건강 증상차원에 부분적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 만다라가 대학생 정신건강의 사정도구로서 유용성이 있음을 제시하였으며, 만다라 해석의 양화되고 규준화 된 자료를 제공하였으며 만다라의 진단적 영역을 확대하였다.
