Abstract
This research implemented V2X WAVE Stack in Qualnet(network simulator) for vehicle’s wireless communication simulation and verified the applicability of V2X communication system by injecting the traffic of Gangbyun Expressway, Gyungbu Highway and Jamsil Intersection which average daily traffic are the highest in Korea in Qualnet network simulator using VISSIM traffic simulator. To implement the V2X communication system Safety Message(SAE J2735), WAVE Short Message Protocol(1609.3), WAVE MAC(1609.4), WAVE Phy(802.11p) were implemented according to North American Standards in Qualnet, and to verify the applicability of V2X communication system in Korea, road scenarios were divided into national road, highway and intersection, and divided again into congested/non-congested situation. In simulation, PER(Packet Error Rate)was used as a verification Indicator and when vehicle node of network simulator gets a message, it verifies whether it satisfies PER 10% that is required in North America Safety Applications. In addition, to decrease high PER value, power adjustment algorithm was applied. And also the applicability of V2X communication system was verified by applying Fading Model, Path Loss Model and Corner Model in simulation to make similar real vehicle test.
