As the number of international marriages is on the increase, problems of multicultural family members have been revealed; in particular, the problem of social maladjustment has occurred among immigrant women’ children, who suffer serious social discrimination. The purpose of this study was to investigate the difficulties with childcare for immigrant women and, on this basis, develop a program to improve the quality of life for the immigrant women and their children. A survey in 323 immigrant women personally caring for their children found that they had difficulties with childcare due to financial problems and that their children had external and internal problems caused by the fact that their mothers were foreigners. On the basis of the results of this study, it is necessary to make a diagnosis of problems with childcare for immigrant wives, develop relevant programs, and conduct further research on this issue.en_US
