dc.description.abstractThis study proposed a supply air flow rate calculation process for the application of variable air volume system in public subway platform. Air handling unit operating field is shown in psychro-metric chart according to outdoor air conditions after calculating the supply air flow rates. It is also shown that the air-conveying power reduction due to the variation of supply air flow rates comparing constant air volume with variable air volume. According to the results in this study, ariable air volume system in public subway platform are considered to be a better approach that satisfies both air-conveying energy saving and comfort indoor environment in comparison with the constant air volume system.en_US
