역사적 실존 인물을 다룬 해방기 한국영화 연구

Abstract

I researched the substance, peculiarity and contemporary characteristics of films in which an historical figure was form-ized in the Liberation period. At that time, a famous independence activist appeared in a newsreel, yet his political contemporaries didn"t often appear in documentary films. However, many feature filmsusing an historic individuall as a main character were produced. The persons illustrated in these movies were figures from the past who were active in Korean anti-Japanese movements. Such a one"s life story served as an epic foundation for those movies. Interestingly, it was just before such a movie was produced that they became famous. On the other hand, the movies were genre-ized and press-agented to build audience expectation and interest. However, it was situations both domestic and abroad during this period that had a large influence on the production tendencies of such works.
