This study analyzed the structure of public apology statement texts and explored their expression features. The structure of public apology texts consists largely of text title, addresser, sender and receiver, body, date & sender. Text titles are realized as the expressions to reveal directly that they are apology and those not to. Sender is a being responsible for the issue and receiver is an object of apology. The expression for sender and receiver was selected according to the intension of the sender. The body consists of apology content explanation, apology expression, problem solution suggestion and promise of recurrence prevention, and the expressional characteristic appearing in them was determined by the sincerity of sender.en_US
