Abstract
The quietness of vehicles is considered as one of the most important factors when customers purchase their vehicles. Especially, BSR(Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) noise significantly affect the quietness of vehicles. BSR noise is generated from collision and interference among several components or panels. In order to reduce BSR noise, it is necessary to consider the reason of its occurrence and reproduce BSR noise. In this research, influence factors of BSR noise are analyzed experimentally and theoretically. Characteristics of BSR noise are verified through experiment and frequency analysis. By modeling the specimens using spectral element method, characteristics of BSR noise can be approximately reproduced and compared with the experimental results. Through experimental and theoretical results, characteristics and dynamic behaviors of BSR noise are analyzed.
