조음기관 교정을 통한 대중가요 가창교육의 적용과 수업안 개발

Abstract

본 논문은 가창에 있어 가사 전달력 향상을 위하여 조음기관 교정을 통한 대중가요 가창교육의 적용과 수업안 개발을 목적으로 진행되었다. 가사는 노래에 담긴 메시지이며, 가창자는 각자의 해석을 통해 청자에게 메시지를 전달하고자 한다. 따라서 가사 전달은 가창자의 표현력과 노래 집중도에 직접적으로 연결되는 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있다. 올바른 발음은 정확한 가사 전달을 위해 필수적이다. 잘못된 발성 습관과 조음기관 사용은 부정확한 발음을 야기하며, 가사 전달의 오류를 발생시킨다. 또한 잘못된 발음은 가사 전달뿐만 아니라 호흡, 발성, 리듬, 표현 등 가창 전반적인 부분에 부정적 영향을 미친다. 본고는 전공 학생들을 대상으로 가창 시 겪은 경험과 조음기관 인지에 대해 묻는 설문을 진행하였다. 이 설문을 통해 과반수의 학생이 대중가요 가창 시 잘못된 발음으로 가사 전달의 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 조음기관 인지가 가창에 영향을 줄 수 있을 것이라 예상하는 현황을 밝혀냈다. 하지만 많은 학생들의 관심과 필요성에도 불구하고 현 교육 과정에서 가창을 위한 조음기관 인지 수업은 부재한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구자는 조음기관 교정을 위한 체계적 교육이 필요하다고 판단하였으며, 수업안 개발 및 실험 수업을 진행하였다. 수업안은 한국어 표준발음법에 의거하여 음소별 조음기관 이론을 ‘조음기관 소개’, ‘혀의 위치, 입술 모양에 따른 단모음 분류’, ‘이중모음 발음법’, ‘목청의 울림, 조음 위치, 조음 방법에 따른 자음 분류’ 등 총 8차시로 구성된다. 기존의 이론만을 다루는 것이 아닌 메트로놈을 활용한 연습법을 제안하여 가창에 직접적인 활용도를 높이고자 하였다. 한국어가 모국어인 보컬, 싱어송라이터 전공 희망 고등학생을 대상으로 수업안 활용 및 수업을 진행하였으며, 수업 전후 가창을 녹음하여 가창의 변화를 비교하였다. 또한 학습자의 설문과 중간 점검, 지도자 평가, 전문가 평가단의 평가·분석으로 연구의 신뢰도를 높였으며 수업 효과 입증에 기여하였다.| This Master Thesis aims to acknowledge the importance of pronunciation in singing pop songs and develop teaching plans for correcting articulators for singers. The lyrics contain messages, and the singer tries to convey those messages to listeners, interpreting on his or her own. This means that delivering the lyric’s messages is a vital element directly connected to the singer’s expression and the concentration of the song. Proper pronunciation is essential for delivering accurate meanings of lyrics. Incorrect vocalization habits and use of articulators cause inaccurate pronunciation, leading to errors in delivering lyrics. Also, incorrect pronunciation can negatively affect not only the delivery of lyrics but also the overall singing, such as breathing, vocalization, rhythm, and expression, etc. This Master Thesis conducted a survey for the students who are majoring in singing, asking what the experience was when they were singing and their perception of the articulators. This survey showed that over half of the students were experiencing the difficulty of delivering lyrics due to incorrect pronunciation and revealed that the students were expecting that the recognition of articulators could affect their singing. However, despite of the need and concern from many students, there is no class for articulators recognition for singing in the current curriculum. Therefore, the writer decided that systematic education for correction of the articulator was necessary and developed teaching plans and carried out experimental classes. Based on the Korean standard pronunciation method, the plan consists of a total of 8 sessions, including “Introduction of articulatory organs,” "Distinguishing short vowels based on tongue position and lip shape," “How to pronounce double vowel,” and “Classification of consonants according to a vibration of voice, position of articulation, and articulation method.” Furthermore, to increase the direct utilization in singing, this thesis suggests a practice method using metronomes as well as covering existing theories. The use of teaching plans and experimental classes were for high-school students whose native language is Korean and who wish to be majored in vocal or singer-songwriter. The students’ singing was recorded before and after the class, so that the change in singing could be recognized. In addition, to contribute to the reliability of the study and the demonstration of the class effect, the following was conducted: the learner’s questionnaire, interim review, evaluation for the teacher, and evaluation and analysis of the singing ability by experts.
