- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to define the relation among elementary school student's after-school sports activity participation motive, participation satisfaction and intention to continue sports activity. For the study purpose, after selecting the elementary school students, who are participating in after-school sports activities, as population, the researcher extracted the samples of total 405 persons and collected data by using convenience sampling out of non-probability sampling methods for the elementary school students, which are participating in after-school sports activities in 7 elementary school located in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do. For the collected data analysis, frequency analysis using SPSS 13.0 Statistical Program, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed Through the study methods and procedures above, the researcher could draw following results.
First, among participation motives of after-school sports activity, pursuit of amusement, sports skill development and social relation gave effects to environmental satisfaction among the sub factors of participation satisfaction, all factors of participation motive gave effects to social satisfaction, pursuit of amusement, sports skill development, social relation and health improvement gave effects to mental satisfaction and pursuit of sports skill development and health improvement gave effects to physical satisfaction.
Second, among participation motives of after-school sports activity, pursuit of amusement, sports skill development and health improvement gave effects to the intention to continue sports activity.
Third, among participation satisfactions of after-school sports activity, physical and mental satisfaction gave effects to the intention to continue sports activity.
