dc.description.abstractThis study was to examine that whether this 8 weeks of Pilates exercise program using multimedia can effect positively to min-age women by comparing the differences of body balance and physical self-efficacy. The analysis of the status change are as follows. First, in the changes of body balance of the exercise group, it presented significant differences with increasing in sense of stability and sensorimotor control ability, but within the changes of body balance of the control group, it did not showed significant differences with no differences. Second, in the changes of physical self-efficacy of the exercise group, it presented significant differences with increasing in factors such as, perceived physical ability and confidence of physical self-expression, and within the changes of physical self-efficacy of the control group, it showed significant differences with decrease. Those results are showing that 8 weeks of Pilates exercise program using multimedia for mid-age women has positive effects in both body balance and physical self-efficacy. Thus, this can be considered as an exercise which is effective for preventing geriatric diseases and improving health. In addition, if this exercise program use visual media to gain continuous exercise effects, it will lead to get the positive effects on improving health and preventing coronary heart disease, obesity and stress. Therefore, studies that using various visual media exercise program for mid-age women will be needed.-
