디지털 전사 프린팅 활용성 고찰- 전폭 민화벽지디자인을 중심으로 -

Abstract

Digital Textile Printing (DTP) in the market is usually divided into Digital Printing by using reactivity, acidity and direct dyes and Sublimation Transfer Printing (STP) by using sublimation dyes .In particular, digital transfer printing is used to make fashion items or accessories. The usage of digital transfer printing is getting stronger because of its powerful competitiveness. Particularly, various and luxurious goods have been created with digital transfer printing. For example, ramie yarn, ceramic products, tiles, steel plates as well as chemistry or fiber are transferred by dyes after they are plated with polyester. So, Minhwa wallpaper by using transfer printing is quite different from the existing things. It has several advantages to prevent us from pollution, and moisture, and has a high fastness rate for sunlight. Forthese reasons, its color can be kept for a long time. As digital transferprinting is able to keep the softness of fabric, digital transfer wallpaper can be designed for the purpose of being intensively fostered as a higher value-added industry. Because of these advantages, Manawa is suited to Korean emotion. Moreover, it is not only luxurious but also humorous. Minhwa is traditionally used for a dwelling space for ancestors, wedding ceremony and their 60th anniversary. So it is the best for Korean traditional design. The purpose of this study is to analyze technical problems of making the full width of Minhwa wallpaper and is to be helpful to produce a variety of digital Minhwa wallpapers as a higher value- added item.
