국외 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 섬유제품디자인 개발 연구 -4대 크루즈 선사를 중심으로-

Abstract

본 연구는 국외 주요 4대 크루즈 선박을 대상으로 한 섬유제품디자인을 제시하여 한국의 크루즈 선박용 인테리어섬유제품 산업의 발전에 기여하는데 그 목적이 있다.

연구 범위로 현재 운영하는 국외 주요 4대 크루즈사로 한정하여 개발하였으며, 연구방법으로 이론적 배경과 현황,디자인 사례분석을 통하여 선사별로 특화된 인테리어 섬유제품디자인을 제시하였다.

카니발 크루즈사에 적합한 인테리어 섬유제품디자인은‘컨비비얼팝’을 컨셉으로 지오메트릭 모티브와 브라이트컬러를 사용하여 심플하고 창의적인 느낌으로 연출하였다.

셀러브리티 크루즈사의 섬유제품디자인은 ‘오가닉퍼스널리티‘를 컨셉으로 식물 모티브와 뉴트럴한 컬러로 네츄럴함을 표현하였고, 로얄 캐리비안 크루즈사는 ‘메터몰픽쉬크‘를 컨셉으로 플라워 모티브를 모던하게 재해석한 디자인과 변성암적 느낌의 차가운 블루 컬러톤을 사용하여 쉬크하게 연출하였다. 스타 크루즈사는 ‘오리엔탈트루’의 컨셉으로 동양적 요소와 플라워 모티브를 활용하고, 복고적인 컬러를 적용함으로써 동양적이며 강렬한 느낌의 디자인을 개발 하였다.

이를 통해 크루즈 사용자에게 심리적 만족감을 주고 해상공간 특유의 공간적, 기능적 제한을 극복하고 발전할 수있을 것으로 기대 되며, 향후 국내 디자이너들에게 참고자료로 활용되어 디자인의 개발과 연구가 지속되어야 할것이라 사료된다.;This study aims to make suggestions for the development of fabric industries for cruise ship interiors in Korea. The scope of cases abroad was focused on four major international cruise companies. Comparing the cases of each company based in theore tical and practical backgrounds. this study suggests how these companies differently approach to develop their specified design of fabric products. First, the concept of Carnival Cruise Lines in product designs is ‘Convivical Pop.’ Second, Celebrity Cruises has the concept of ;Organic Personality’ based on plant motifs. Third, the design concept of Royal Caribbean Cruises is ‘Metamorphic Chic.’ Finally, based on the concept of ‘Oriental Truth,’ Star Cruises Adequately developed interior designs provide passengers with psychological satisfaction. These are also helpful to overcome the spacial and functional limits due to the unique situation of sea travel. The analyzed data in this study are expected to be useful for domestic designers in the industry, encouraging further development of designs suitable for cruise ships.
