4대 크루즈 선사를 위한 객실용 벽지 패턴디자인 개발

Abstract

크루즈 산업은 미래형 관광 산업으로, 유럽 선진국을 중심으로 꾸준히 성장하고 있으나 한국은 세계 1위의 조선강국임에도 불구하고 크루즈 인테리어 관련 디자인 기술수준은 아직 미흡하다. 따라서 경쟁력을 갖춘 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 벽지 패턴디자인의 개발이 시급히 요구되는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 4대 크루즈 선박을 대상으로 한 객실용 벽지 패턴 디자인을 제시하여 향후 한국의 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 벽지 산업의 발전에 기여하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 범위는 규모 순으로 4대 크루즈 선사로 한정하였고, 연구 방법으로 논문, 관련서적 및 인터넷자료를 참조하여 선사별 벽지 패턴디자인 특징을 분석하였으며, 이론적 배경을 토대로 디자인 컨셉을 설정하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

첫째, 카니발 크루즈 선사의 펀쉽 테마 인테리어에 적합한 벽지 패턴디자인은 ‘포에틱 모던팝’을 컨셉으로 설정하여 네츄럴한 지오메트릭 모티프와 브라이트 컬러들을 사용함으로써 감성적이고 창의적인 느낌으로 연출하였다. 둘째, 셀러브리티 크루즈 선사의 벽지 패턴디자인은 엘레강스 인테리어와 자연주의적 네츄럴함을 융합하고자 ‘러 엘레강스‘를 컨셉으로 플라워 모티프와 클래식한 곡선적 줄기모티프, 우드 브라운과 뉴트럴컬러를 조합함으로써 가공되지 않은 우아함을 표현하고자 하였다. 셋째, 로얄 캐리비안 크루즈 선사는 스칸디나비아에서 유래한 밝고 유쾌한 모던스타일의 공간연출을 보이므로 ‘심플 시크‘를 컨셉으로 불규칙한 기하학 모티프에 실버톤과 파우더 컬러를 조합하여 자유롭고 심플 스타일의 세련된 디자인을 제시하였다. 넷째, 스타 크루즈 선사는 아시아의 장식적 디자인과 유럽의 클래식 디자인인 혼합된 인테리어 특징을 가지고 있어 아시아의 매력 디자인과 쾌락주의적 유니크 디자인을 의미하는 ‘오리엔탈 히더니스트’의 컨셉으로 유니크한 기하학 모티프와 플라워 모티프를 겹쳐 표현하고, 바이올렛컬러와 그린컬러 톤을 위주로 구성함으로써 객실 내의 다양한 인테리어 요소와 잘 코디네이션 될 수 있도록 개발되었다.

본 연구는 4대 대표 선사에 특화된 크루즈 선박용 인테리어 벽지 패턴디자인 제시에 관한 연구로서 4대 크루즈 선사만을 대상으로 진행된 연구범위의 한계점이 있었으나, 크루즈 선박용 벽지 패턴디자인 시 참고자료로 활용될 수 있다고 사료되며, 향후 개발과 연구가 지속되기를 기대한다.;The cruise industry is a futuristic tourist industry, and it has grown consistently mainly in advanced countries in Europe; however, despite Korea being the No. 1 ranked shipbuilding country, the design technology level regarding cruise ship interiors is still not satisfactory in Korea. Consequently, it is imperative to develop interior wallpaper pattern designs for the competitiveness of cruise vessels. Accordingly, this study aims to make a commitment to the interior wallpaper industry for cruise vessels of Korea by proposing wallpaper pattern designs aimed at four cruise vessels. As research scope, the study was limited to four big cruise ship lines in order of their size. Concerning research methods, the study referred to theses, relevant books, and internet data; thus, it analyzed the characteristics of wallpaper pattern design by ship line. Based on the theoretical background, the study set up a design concept and was able to obtain the following conclusions. This study is concerned with the proposal of interior wallpaper pattern design for cruise vessels specified for four representative cruise lines. Subsequently, it was limited in the scope of research by being aimed at only four big cruise lines; however, it is believed that it can be utilized as reference data during the design of wallpaper patterns for cruise vessels, and there are hopes for continued future development and research.
