샤넬 의상 장신구의 디자인 특성

Abstract

샤넬의 의상 장신구는 여성 패션 모드 사에서 획기적인 사건이었다. 값비싼 귀금속을 대신하여 장식욕구를 채워 줄 수 있었던 것으로 귀족이 아닌 평민도 패션을 향유 할 수 있게 해준 시발점이 되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 샤넬 의상 장신구의 발생과 대중화, 현재의 위치까지 고찰하고 디자인 특성을 분석함으로써 한국 명품 브랜드 탄생의 초석이 될 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

샤넬 의상 장신구의 디자인 원형들은 대부분 탄생시기인 1920～1930년대에 완성되어 현재까지 사용되고 있어 그 디자인의 우수성을 말해주고 있다.

형태가 단일 문양으로 완성되는 경우가 많아 문양과 소재, 색채로 디자인 특성을 고찰하였다.

문양은 사실적 모티프, 꽃 모티프, 마크 모티프로 나누어 1920～1930년대와 2000년 이후를 비교 분석하였다. 사실적 모티프는 십자가, 별 등에서 동물, 샤넬의상 스타일들, 눈꽃, 사람 등 다양하게 발전 한 것을 알 수 있었다. 까멜리에 꽃 모티프는 현대적인 소재와 디자인의 다양한 전개로 변화되었고, 마크 모티프 또한 더블C에서 COCO, CHANEL, 숫자 5등 다양하게 발전된 것을 알 수 있었다.

1920～1930년대 색채는 진짜 귀금속의 색인 빨강색, 녹색, 파랑색, 보라색, 다이아몬드의 투명색, 진주의 아이보리색, 금색, 은색들이다. 2000년 이후 유리에 염색 할 수 있는 기술의 발달로 보다 다양한 색들이 출현하고 있다. 다양한 빨강색과 분홍색까지 나타나고 있으며 1차색에서부터 시작되는 다양한 색이다.

소재는 진주, 유색보석, 인조다이아, 금속 플라스틱으로 분류하였는데 위에 열거된 여러가지 재료들이 혼합되어 나타나고 있다. 다만 2000년 이후 플라스틱이나 에나멜의 사용이 두드러진다.

1920년대 시작된 샤넬 의상 장신구 디자인은 90여년이 흐른 지금까지 디자인상의 커다란 변화를 찾기 힘들다. 이는 그 디자인의 우수성과 완성도가 패션 명품으로 자리매김하기에 부족함이 없다는 증거이기도 하며 여성 패션 클래식의 스타일을 완성하는 화룡정점의 역할을 하고 있다.;Chanel`s costume jewelry was a revolutionary idea in the history of women`s fashion mode. This idea gave a chance to commoners to enjoy costume jewelry instead of luxurious jewelry. The aim of this study is making a design data base that can be helpful to build a new global brand. To carry on the aim of this study, I researched the three facts of design; shape, color, and material. Through the research, I found that the shape is equal to patterns. The pattern is classified into realistic motif, mark motif and the flower motif. In 1920s and 1930s, the realistic motif included the star and the animal. However, from 2000 to 2009, it included Costume of Chanel Style, snow crystal and people. In the mark motif, there are double C; symbol of Chanel, COCO, CHANEL and the cross. The flower motif is the most characteristic in Chanel`s style. The materials grouped into the pearl, colourful jewelry, artistically diamond and metal plastic. Those materials appeared in one-piece item. After 2000, the usage of plastics or enamels became more common. Most of the original design forms of Chanel`s costume jewelry completed in 1920s to 1930s and used still now. Also it`s hard to fine the big changes in the designs which continued for 90 years. That tells us the superiority and executions of the designs are enough to be masterpieces of fashion.
