자동차 디자인의 효과적 캐릭터 라인 구현 방법에 대한 연구 - 프론트 마스크의 인상형성을 중심으로-

Abstract

본 연구에서는 언어적으로 표현되는 아이덴티티를 시각적으로

디자인하는 과정에서 나타나는 오류 및 공차가 발생하는 문제

점을 개선하고자 객관적이고 과학적인 캐릭터 라인 구현방법

을 제시함으로써 자동차의 아이덴티티에 영향을 미치는 인상형성 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 모핑을 응용한 형상구현기법을 활용하여 자동차 디자인의 형상을 구현하기 위한 논리적 데이터베이스를 구축하고자 하였으며, 이미지 적층기법을 응용하여 빠른 시간 안에 보다 쉽고 다양한 캐릭터 라인들을 개발하는 방법론을 제시하였다. 그리고 그리드를 이용한 차원분석시스템을 응용하여 자유롭게 추출된 형상 라인 및캐릭터 라인을 현실적 조건에 맞게 최적화 하기위한 방법을 제시함으로써 보다 효율적이고 과학적으로 캐릭터 라인에 의한 자동차 인상을 형성 할 수 있는 접근 방법을 시도해 보았다.이렇게 제시된 방법들을 자동차 프론트마스크의 인상 형성에 직접적으로 적용해봄으로써 프로세스의 효용성을 검증해 보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 형상 개발 방법과 캐릭터라인 추출 과정은 디자이너의 두뇌회전과 다양한 결과 제시에 도움이 될 수 있으며, 디자인 요소의 기준을 수치화하고 최적화하는 과정에 대한 접근은 디자이너들이 추구한 결과물이 개발단계 및 양산과정을 지나도 효과적으로 유지, 구현될 수 있도록하기 위한 가능성을 제시하는 데에 의의가 있다.;This research tried to present impression formation that affects the identity of the vehicle by presenting character line realization method in objective and scientific way to improve tolerance causing problems and errors which occur during the visual design on the identity representation of the language. Therefore, it utilized shape realization that applied morphing method in order to establish logical database to realize vehicle design shape, and also presented development method to exploit various character lines that can be drawn in easier and faster way in applying image stacking technique. Also, it proposed optimization method that can suit the reality condition of the character line and freely extracted image line through the application of the dimensional analysis system using th grid, in order to try approach method that can form vehicle impression by more efficient and scientific character line. These proposed methods were tried to verify process effectiveness through directly applying into the vehicle front mask image formation. The shape development method and character line extraction process presented in this study were helped the designer's quick thinking and enabled presenting various results. The approach on the process of digitizing and optimizing the standard of design factors has significance as it presents the possibility of effectively maintaining and realizing the products that designers pursued even after the development and mass production stages.
