무용전공자의 직업 적응과정에서의 어려움

Abstract

본 연구는 무용전공자들의 진로에 대한 선행연구는 활발하지만, 직업을 선택한 이후의 무용전공자들에 관한 연구가 미비하였으며 직업인으로서 무용전공자의 삶에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 판단하였다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 무용전공자의 직업 적응과정에서 겪는 어려움에 대하여 심층적으로 탐색하는 데 있다. 따라서 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해서 ‘무용전공자의 직업 적응과정에서의 어려움은 무엇인가?’ 를 연구 문제로 설정하였으며, 질적연구방법인 근거이론 방법을 적용하여 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 참여자는 무용학과 졸업생으로 무용 관련 직업 중 안무가, 직업무용수, 무용교육자, 무용기획 및 홍보로 분류하여 각 분야당 2명씩 한정하여 총 8명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 자료수집은 심층 면담을 통해 이루어졌으며 해석은 근거이론을 바탕으로 패러다임 모형을 도출하여 분석을 실시하였으며 핵심범주를 도출해 이야기 윤곽을 기술하였다. 연구 결과, 다음과 같은 결론이 도출되었다. 첫째, 개방코딩 결과 최종적으로 78개의 개념, 23개의 하위범주, 12개의 범주로 도출되었다. 범주의 내용을 요약정리하면 다음과 같다. 둘째, 축코딩에서 인과적 조건은 ‘직업선택요인’으로 나타났다. 맥락적 조건으로는 ‘직장의 불만’, ‘환경’, ‘스스로에 대한 불만’으로 나타났다. 중심 현상으로 ‘불안정한 삶’이 나타났으며, 중재적 조건으로 ‘정신적 안정’, ‘동료와의 관계’로 나타났다. 작용/상호작용전략으로는 ‘자기 역량 향상’, ‘마인드컨트롤’ 결과로는 ‘자아실현’, ‘안정감 찾기’이였다. 셋째, 선택코딩에서 무용전공자의 직업 적응과정에서의 어려움의 핵심범주는 ‘스스로 개척해나가기’였다. 무용전공자들은 무용 전문인력으로 일하면서 불안정하다는 생각을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 상황에서 벗어나기 위해 다양한 노력을 시도하였으나 안정적인 상황으로 한순간에 바뀌기엔 어려움이 있었다. 이들이 성공적으로 무용 전문인력으로서 살아가기 위해서는 자신의 흥미와 적성에 맞는 직업을 선택할 수 있게 직업 관련 지도가 이루어져야 하며, 또한 무용전공자들이 느끼는 불안정함을 안정감으로 변화시킬 수 있는 국가적인 보호와 정책적인 지원이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 무용전공자들의 직업 적응과정에서의 어려움에 대해 심층적으로 살펴보았다. 무용전공자의 실질적인 삶에 대해 살펴볼 수 있으며 그들이 직업적으로 경험하는 어려움에 대해 기초자료를 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 크다고 판단된다. 또한, 앞으로 무용 전문인력으로 성장하게 될 무용전공자들에게 진로지도 자료로 활용되며 직업 진로활동에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 이를 계기로 더 다양한 직종에 종사하고 있는 무용전공자들의 직업적 경험에 대해 후속 연구가 논의되어 무용인의 진로와 관련된 요인들이 지속적으로 발견되기를 기대한다. |This study determined that prior research on the career path of dance majors is active, but research on dance majors after choosing a job is lacking, and that research on the lives of dance majors is necessary as professionals. On the other hand, the purpose of this study is to explore in-depth the difficulties experienced by dance majors in the process of adapting to their occupations. Therefore, in order to achieve the purpose of the research, "What are the difficulties in the professional adaptation process of dance majors?" was set as a research question, and the research was carried out by applying the qualitative research method, the evidence theory method. Participants in the study were classified as choreographers, vocational dancers, dance educators, dance planning and promotion among dance-related professions, and limited to two people in each field to collect data from a total of eight people Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, and interpretation was based on Grounded Theory, a paradigm model was derived, analyzed, and the core categories were derived to outline the story. The following conclusions were drawn from the study. First, open coding is derived from 78 concepts, 23 subcategories, and 12 categories. Summarize and organize the contents of the categories as follows Second, causal conditions in axial coding appeared as 'job selection factors.' The contextual conditions were 'discontent at work,' 'environment,' and 'discontent with oneself.' The central phenomenon was 'an uneasy life,' and the conditions for arbitration were 'mental stability' and 'relationship with colleagues.' Action/interaction strategies have emerged as a result of 'heart control', 'self-development', 'self-actualization' and 'stability pursuit'. Third, the core category that experiences difficulties in adapting to the career path of dance majors in axial coding was 'developing on your own.' Dance majors thought that they were unstable while working as dance experts. I made various efforts to get out of this situation, but it was difficult to change the situation stably in no time. In order for them to succeed as dance experts, job-related guidance must be provided so that they can choose a job that suits their interests and suitability, and national protection and policy support are needed to turn the anxiety felt by dance majors into stability. This study examined in-depth the difficulties experienced by dance majors in adapting to their occupations. It is said to be significant in that it can investigate the actual lives of dance majors and provide basic data on their occupational difficulties. In addition, it will be used as a career guidance material for dance majors who will grow into dance professionals in the future, and it will contribute to career activities. With this opportunity, it is hoped that follow-up research will be discussed on the professional experience of dance majors engaged in more diverse occupations, and that factors related to the career path of dancers will be continuously discovered.
