시간이동 드라마의 서사구조와 시간관에 대한 비교 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 2019년에 나온 중국 드라마<상견니>와 2016년에 나온 한국 드라마<W(더블유)>를 중심으로 분석하고 비교한 연구다. 우선 시간이동 콘텐츠는 대중문화 영역에서 주목과 호응을 계속 받는 장르와 요소이고 같은 시공간에 관한 주제나 그 중에 포함한 타임 슬립과 타임 루프의 개념은 또 다르다. 이 두 작품이 각자 시나리오의 구성 방식과 서사구조, 캐릭터의 설정과 서로에게 끼치는 영향 등이 다를 뿐만 아니라 다른 사회에서 형성한 이데올로기로 인해 나타난 창작상의 차이도 크다. 두 드라마의 서사구조가 제일 큰 공통점은 주인공이 진실을 찾으려는 마음과 목적으로 단서들을 하나씩 따라가며 사건들도 나타나고 줄거리가 전개하는 것이다. 또한 두 드라마의 주인공들은 다 생활 속에서 만화를 그리는 모니터와 노래를 드는 레코더 이런 평범한 물건들의 특수효과를 발견하게 돼 시공간 여행이 시작하는 서사구조이다. 모니터와 레코더는 특정한 매개체로서 하나는 주인공을 만화세계로 끌어가는 효과가 있고, 하나는 노래를 들으면서 영혼이 과거로 돌아가는 것이다. 그리고 두 드라마의 가장 큰 차이점도 그 두 개의 공간과 타임라인의 형태이다. <W>는 직선으로 이야기를 서술하는 흐름이며, <상견니>는 중요한 시간대 4개를 중심으로 원형으로 순환하는 추세가 보인다. 다음은 <W>와 <상견니>의 시간관은 과학적 객관성과 시간 흐름의 불가역성을 따랐다는 공통점이다. 두 드라마 다 과거로 돌아가서 역사를 새로 쓰려는 시도하나 실제로 있었던 과거는 바뀌지 않았으며 오히려 주인공들이 원래 있었던 타임라인과 세계에서 새로운 미래를 만들어내는 판타지다. 그러나 <상견니>의 시간관은 뫼비우스식이고 시간은 원처럼 무한순환인 모양이며, <W>의 시간관은 직선적으로 되어 있는 현실세계와 만화세계에서 같이 두 타임라인을 동시 진행하는 직선적인 구조이다. 비교 분석을 통해 시간이동 드라마는 현실을 거울처럼 반영한 반영상과 굴절시킨 굴절상으로 나누어 예술적과 문학적 시간관에 대한 인식과 한중 사회의 이데올로기가 각각 가지는 특수성도 알 수 있다. 재현의 위기 시대에서 시간이동 드라마의 핵심은 시공간의 순환을 통해 현실을 다시 경험하면서 진실을 찾는 과정이며 역사나 과거의 진리를 알아내는 현실적 의미, 예술적 타당성도 갖고 있다. 예술적이나 과학적인 시간관이 절대적으로 존재하지 않으며 진리는 항상 변화하듯이 과학 발전도 대중문화 시나리오 창작에 큰 영향을 끼치는 것을 입증하였다. 특히 본론에서 비교한 두 드라마 같은 작품을 보면 앞으로 타임루프 드라마의 발전 방향이 보인다. 단방향의 시간여행이 아니라 쌍방향이나 다층적인 차원, 심지어 우주 간의 벽도 돌파하는 방향으로 나아갈 것이다. 장르는 다양한 복합적인 장르 구성이 될 것이며 메인 캐릭터들의 이미지도 더 입체적이고 영혼과 육체의 경계가 더 구체적으로 묘사될 것이라고 본다. 인간은 과거에 대한 아쉬움과 미래에 대한 기대와 환상, 두려움을 가지며, 이는 시간의 속박에 대한 저항, 시간 지배의 충동으로 이어진다. 그렇다면 시간이동 드라마나 영화는 이에 대한 적절한 저항이자 시간을 지배하려는 욕망을 해소하고 상상력을 펼칠 수 있는 최고의 매개체다.| This study analyzes and compares the Chinese drama Someday or One Day in 2019 and the Korean drama W in 2016. First of all, time slip and time loop are genres and elements that continue to receive attention and response in popular culture, and the themes of time and space, or the concepts of time slip and time loop are different. Someday or One Day and W are representative series of time travel dramas produced by Korea and China at the same time, and there are many similarities and differences between the two series. In addition to the method of composition of each scenario, narrative structure, and character setting...... the difference in creativity due to ideology formed in other societies is clearly large. Therefore, in order to understand the scenario, the narrative structure can be analyzed only when the story's development and turning points are identified. Through these points, this study also studied the narrative structure of the two dramas and the relationship between the characters, focusing on the Mobius time structure of Someday or One Day and the straight time structure of W. In particular, it contains the perception of artistic and literary time structures and the specificity of the ideology of Korean and Chinese society reflection and refraction of reality can be seen in this study. Through the comparison of the two time-loop dramas, the realistic meaning of the crisis of representation that appeared in this era and the way forward for the time-loop drama were also presented. Lastly, it has been proved that artistic or scientific time perspective absolutely does not exist, and just as truth always changes, scientific development always has a great influence and changes the creation of popular culture scenarios.
